Some of his studies have included Risk Management, WCB Supervisor Safety Management, Advanced Wilderness First Aid, Search and Rescue Management, Swiftwater Rescue II, Avalanche Technician level I to name a few. Staff Training Options

Risk Management Primer
Include this dynamic educational 8 hour seminar in your pre-season staff training program. Staff are given the opportunity to practice problem solving and decision making through presentation of an assortment of realistic scenarios based on actual program and trip logistics likely to be encountered in the field. Each scenario will include extensive debriefing and appropriate education to compensate for comprehension deficiencies.

Staff policies, procedures, trip objectives, contingency planning and other materials related to risk management will be reviewed prior to this session.

Accident Handling: Mastering Realistic Field Conditions
Include this 8 hour seminar in your pre-season staff training program. Staff are given the opportunity to practice patient evacuation and/or rescue skills under realistic field conditions:

  • Poor or slippery footing, steep slopes, creek crossings, bush whacking, etc.
  • Using equipment and resources available: Safety equipment, communication devices, boats vehicles, aircraft, etc.
  • Staff to client ratios and group size.
  • Overnight simulations on request.
